Verification of Employment Contracts

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF CONTRACT VERIFICATION?

The Labor Attache will check and ensure that the employment contracts of the Filipino migrant workers are consistent with the prevailing employment laws, standards and practices in both the Philippines and the host country and that the documentary requirements for overseas employment as required by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration are complied with.

The verified employment contract shall also be presented to the POEA BM Centers in the Philippines as a requirement for the issuance of OECs and it may be required by the Philippine Immigration Officers in the Philippines prior to departure.

WHO NEEDS TO HAVE THEIR EMPLOYMENT CONTRACTS VERIFIED?

  1. Filipino workers who are registered with POEA and have changed employers onsite.

  2. Filipino nationals working abroad without POEA records.

  3. Filipino nationals with prospective employers whose employment Visa was approved by the Immigration Department.

 

What are the Requirements?

CONTRACT RENEWAL​

    • 2 sets of Original Standard Employment Contract
    • Copy of Employer’s HK ID with contact number written on the same page
    • Copy of Domestic Worker’s HK ID with contact number written on the same page
    • Original and Photocopy of the domestic worker’s passport
    • Printed copy of the New Employment E-Visa

    • Completely filled out OWWA OFW information sheet.

CHANGE EMPLOYER

    • 2 sets of Original Standard Employment Contract
    • Copy of Employer’s HK ID with contact number written on the same page

    • Original and Photocopy of the domestic worker’s passport
    • Printed copy of the New Employment E-Visa

Contract Verification for Domestic Workers

WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR DOMESTIC WORKERS?

(Not Applicable for new hires)

  1. Book an appointment
  2. Submit documentary requirements to the Philippine Overseas Labor Office WINDOWS 1, 2 or 3 for evaluation
    • With appointment: COUNTERS 1,2 & 3
  3. Pay Verification fee (See schedule of fees
  4. Submit OWWA Information Sheet to COUNTERS 6, 7 or 8
  5. Pay OWWA membership fee, if the membership is expired or about to expire (See schedule of fees)
  6. Your verified employment contracts will be ready for pick-up after three (3) working days on COUNTERS A and B

Contract Verification for Professional/Skilled Workers

ON SITE VERIFICATION

(workers who are not registered with the POEA or who change employers on site)

  • Passport valid for atleast six (6) months from the date of intended departure; (1 Photocopy)
  • Appropriate Visa (1 Photocopy)
  • Proof of Employment
      1. Certificate of Employment (1 original; 2 photocopies)
      2. ID issued by the Company
      3. Payslip
  • Employment Contract (1 original; 2 photocopies)
  • Business Registration / Company Profile (1 Photocopy)

WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR SKILLED / PROFESSIONAL WORKERS

  1. Submit documentary requirements to the Philippine Overseas Labor Office WINDOW 11 for evaluation
  2. Pay Verification fee on the date of release (See schedule of fees
  3. For workers who are not registered by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) or who changed employers on-site, present your Verified employment contract to the POEA upon your return/vacation in the Philippines in order to process your OEC.
